Well, folks, you might be over it, the world might be over it, but it isn’t over, because Jon Hamm is on the cover of Rolling Stone, due to hit stands this Friday.

And while there’s a bunch of things the article could have covered – Hamm’s influences, his run on Mad Men, his apparently very inspiring conversations with James Gandolfini (of “The Sopranos” fame), it looks like the piece will once again devolve into that hot button issue of late – Jon Hamm’s privates. Well, to be fair, in the article the Mad Men star actually talks about how unwarranted and intrusive all of the online attention towards his nether regions has been: "Most of it's tongue-in-cheek," he tells contributing editor Josh Eells in his first solo Rolling Stone cover story. "But it is a little rude. It just speaks to a broader freedom that people feel like they have - a prurience."

Jon Hamm, Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Jon Hamm is over it. It's time to follow that example.

Frankly, we’re siding with Hamm on that one – and not just because he manages to slip words like prurience into casual conversation. After numerous photos and screen caps, zoomed in on the actor’s pants and an entire Tumblr page (a very popular one at that) devoted to the topic, the time has come for us to ask the question – regardless of size or the popularity of its owner, does any one penis really deserve this much attention?
