Jon Voight wishes his daughter Angelina Jolie’s bitter divorce battle with Brad Pitt would “be over”.

The ‘Midnight Cowboy’ actor, 85, spoke out about the former couple’s long-running disputes over custody of their six children and French vineyard – before issuing a public plea to actor Brad, 60, to put a stop to the disputes with 49-year-old Angelina.

Jon told Fox News Digital Friday: “I wish that would be over. It’s tough. I wish they found a way to make peace.”

The actor added he is worried about how the warring couple’s legal woes has affected his grandchildren, with Angelina and Brad – who have been broken up since 2019 – sharing children Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.

Hollywood veteran Jon went on: “I think that the kids need some stability. I love the kids and I love my daughter, and I want Brad to step up, too (and do) what he has to do (and) end this nonsense.”

Angelina filed for divorce from ‘Fight Club’ actor Brad in 2016 and the pair were awarded joint custody of their kids by a judge in May 2021.

After the ruling, ‘Maleficent’ actress Angelina decided to sell her shares of her and Brad’s Château Miraval winery which has sent them into another legal dispute.

A source told Page Six Brad was refusing to let go of the fight over the business as he sees it as an asset for his children.

The insider added: “It’s important that people realise that Brad’s motivation is to ensure that his kids can maximise the benefit of this asset.

“Once it was sold, that’s no longer the case and it significantly decreased their inheritance.”
