The American pop rock group 'The Jonas Brothers' have decided to call it a day on their musical endeavours with each other.

The trio's split comes a month after they were forced to cancel their upcoming tour due to "a deep rift within the band."

The three brothers have yet to release an official statement but they did confirm with People magazine that it is over on Tuesday (Oct 29th).

"It's over for now," Kevin Jonas says. Nick adds, "It's really hard to say 'forever,' we're closing a chapter, for sure." Joe reiterates that "it was a unanimous decision."

Questions of the bands future first surfaced when the youngest brother, Nick (21), voiced his concerns about pursuing the band, "I was feeling kind of trapped," he said. "I needed to share my heart with my brothers."

This was followed by the band cancelling their 19-date North American tour two days before it was meant to start in Pennsylvania. The band's rep revealed the cancelation was due to "a big a disagreement over their music direction."

Another spokesperson for the band reaffirmed it "stems from creative differences."

Nick, 21, Kevin, 25, and Joe, 24, will now be able to focus on their solo ambitions as artists and according to E!News a source close to the band explained their upcoming ventures.

The insider revealed, "Joe wants to do acting and art and his own music," and Kevin, who is expecting his first child with wife Danielle, "wants to focus on being a dad, he can't wait for Danielle to have their baby. His priorities have changed."

As for Nick, the source claims he "wants to focus on music and Broadway." He already has experience performing in the theatres as he appeared in a revival of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' in 2012.

Their split most likely comes from each member wanting different things and having their own personal goals, but this does not mean they are not amicable with each other as the same source reported, "There are no personal issues, they just all wanted different things. They love each other. They always will."

For all of JoBros fans, keep an eye out for their future endeavours!
