Judd Apatow is heading to Netflix with 'Love'

It stars Paul Rust (Inglorious Basterds) and Gillian Jacobs (Community, Walk of Shame) as a couple of navigate the exhilaration and humiliations of intimacy and commitment.
"Judd Apatow has a unique comedic voice that manages to be delightful, insightful, and shockingly frank - often at the same time," said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos. "Together with Paul and Lesley, he's bringing a whole new level of agony and ecstasy to this modern day comedy of manners."

The show is the latest example of Netflix's major push into original programming, which it began with the acclaimed political show 'House of Cards' and jailhouse drama 'Orange is the New Black'. Having focused on the U.S for several years, the company is beginning to expand into Europe and moved into France and Germany on Monday and Tuesday.
A two season order is usually reserved only for shows with great potential and A-list quality. For example, Netflix plumped for two seasons of 'House of Cards' - which turned out to be a good bet - and Starz recently opted for two instalments of a new Seth MacFarlane comedy starring Patrick Stewart.
Apatow is best known for his hugely successful romantic comedies Knocked Up and This Is 40. He will produce 'Love' with Leslie Arfin (Girls) and Rust.
"I am so excited to get to work with Paul and Lesley on this project," said Apatow. "Netflix has been supportive in ways I couldn't create in my wildest fever dreams."
