Julia Roberts is selling her New York apartment for $4.5 million.

The 'Pretty Woman' actress - who has children who has children Hazel and Phinnaeus, 10, and Henry, seven, with husband Daniel Moder - has put her 2,000-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom Greenwich Village property on the market because she is spending increasing amounts of time in California.

The property boasts a wood-burning fireplace and a terrace which is ideal for entertaining, while the New York Post newspaper describes the home's decor as ''easy breezy'' and ''Hamptons/California-style beachy.''

Julia, 47, is said to ''still love'' New York and has no plans to sell her Gramercy Park house, though that is currently rented out to someone else.

The Hollywood beauty recently admitted she thinks the movie industry was much ''easier'' when she was beginning her career than what it is now.

She said: ''I think it was easier back when I was starting, probably than it is now. People were nicer, I think.

''There's just a lot of anonymity now for critiquing people and pretending that you know people, and I think that that becomes complex. There are just a lot of people who hide.''

However, when asked to advise young hopefuls on what they should do, the 'Normal Heart' star insisted she wasn't the right person to ask.

She said her advice would be: ''Don't take advice from actors. Ever.''
