An Argentine judge has given Justin Bieber 60 days to return to Buenos Aires for police questioning in relation to an alleged attack on a local paparazzo last year (13).
City prosecutors are investigating the November, 2013 incident, when photographer Diego Pesoa was allegedly assaulted by the singer's bodyguards as he attempted to snap pictures of the Baby hitmaker leaving the Ink nightclub while on tour in the country.
Pesoa, who required hospital treatment for his injuries, later posted video footage of the altercation online and accused Bieber of giving his security personnel the order to attack him.
On Thursday (13Nov14), Judge Facundo Cubas set a 60-day deadline for the pop superstar to appear before a court in Argentina, or face having an international warrant issued for his arrest.
Judge Cubas asked officials at international police organisation Interpol to use all "necessary means" to alert the 20 year old to the order.
Bieber could face up to a year behind bars if he is charged with causing minor injuries.
It's the latest legal woe for the star - he is currently on probation after he was convicted of vandalism in July (14) for pelting a neighbour's house with eggs, while he also pleaded guilty to misdemeanour charges of careless driving and resisting arrest in August (14) relating to an arrest in Miami Beach, Florida earlier in the year (14).
He is also facing two lawsuits over similar clashes with the paparazzi in Miami and Hawaii last year (13).
