There’s no better way of proving your penitence than going all out and getting yourself baptised. That’s Justin Bieber’s latest move in the whole racism saga anyway, because what better way to show how sorry you are than to get dunked in some water.

Justin Bieber BaptismJustin Bieber was allegedly baptised in a bathroom by one of his friends

Bieber actually took the plunge (pun intended) before the videos surfaced and he was in the midst of being extorted. Perhaps he hoped that a baptism would lead to a bit of good karma (conflicting ideologies, but you get where we’re going with this). The baptism allegedly look place in a New York bathroom. As rooms go, they are famed for their spiritual qualities.

Pastol Carl Lentz told TMZ that he had spent a week with Justin studying the Bible intensively before the ceremony took place. Throughout the week the Biebs read Bible passages and attended religious ceremonies. At the end of the week Justin was cleansed of his sins in a baptism ceremony which was performed by one of his friends. One of his friends. Sounds legitimate.

But why was the Biebs baptised in a bathroom and not in an actual church? Well, apparently he had attempted to find a church but ultimately opted to keep it a private affair, so settled on a bathroom. Hey, if Zuul can live in a fridge, Bieber can be baptised in a bathroom!

Although there has been plenty of backlash after the release of not one, but two, racist videos featuring Justin Bieber, one person has come forward to defend the pop star. Bieber’s mentor Usher, who found the ‘Baby’ singer on YouTube, has released a statement regarding the unfortunate situation: “As I have watched Justin Bieber navigate difficult waters as a young man, I can tell you that he hasn’t always chosen the path of his greatest potential, but he is unequivocally not a racist.” Well, we can partially agree with Usher’s statement, at least.

Bieber isn’t the only celeb to turn to God in a time of need. When Al Green’s married girlfriend doused him with a pot of boiling hot food before killing herself, he decided to go on and become an ordained minister, calling the situation a wake-up call.

Justin Bieber BaptismAngus T. Jones released a YouTube video slamming the show that made him famous and calling himself a "paid hypocrite"

Two and Half Men star Angus T. Jones famously found religion when he joined the Seventh-day Adventist church. He released a YouTube video calling himself a “paid hypocrite” for his work on the show, explaining “You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like [Two and a Half Men].”

After Kanye West rudely interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMAs in 2009 he looked to God. And sex. Kanye explained he turned to “God, sex and alcohol…a lot of sex.”
