Amidst all the turmoil, the controversy and the arrest, Justin Bieber has also done that thing that pop stars like to do sometimes – he’s released a new video. The track is a collaboration with Chance the Rapper and admittedly has a pretty catchy beat. The video features some of Justin’s favorite thing – a pretty young woman, a club, choreographed dancing and the kind of car that tends to get the Biebs into trouble.

Justin Bieber, Believe World Premiere
In between getting arrested and not giving a monkey's about being arrested, Justin even had time to release a video.

The song was released last month as the tenth and final video in Bieber’s Music Monday series. The video, directed by Colin Tiley, has an early Justin Timberlake feel to it, in that there’s a lot of dim lighting, smoke machines and a little friendly stalking of the potential love interest. Also does anyone else think the Confident video reused the club set from Justin Timberlake’s Senorita video from 2003? No?

In the end it turns out that they’re in a convenience store, where the confident lady is purchasing Takis. It may or may not be product placement, but they’re the basis for an adorably awful pun from Justin. “Well, I wanna taki to you on the phone, he says.” Cue collective groan from the audience. Anyway, the choreography is tight and with lyrics like “Nasty but she fancy, lipstick on my satin sheets/ What's your nationality? I wonder if there's more of you/ She's got my attention, she's confident”, the song and video are bound to get a lot of Beliebers really excited. At one point Chance the Rapper joins in. Standing in front of a neon sign, Chance contributes a verse about tattoos, piercings and twerking and cements the video's status as a true gem.
