Justin Bieber’s father Jeremy has proposed to his long-term girlfriend, meaning that the Biebs might have to add wedding singer to his repertoire.

The Canadian pop star’s dad, 41, got down on one knee and asked Chelsey Rebelo, thirteen years his junior, to marry him while on vacation in St. Bart’s just over a week ago. The event was recorded by his friends and the nearly two-minute video posted on YouTube via his official account.

The clip shows Jeremy leading Chelsey up a hill near the coast on the island, before pausing at the top and producing a ring. “Oh my God,” she’s heard to exclaim before accepting.

“On February 19th, 2016, I proposed to my best friend Chelsey Rebelo,” the caption underneath the video read. Well, Bieber's gig as wedding singer is all but sealed if he wants it.

Bieber wasn’t there for the proposal last Friday, instead taking his 6 year old brother Jaxon to the Universal Studios in Hollywood. The 21 year old singer was also seen with his little brother at the Grammy Awards earlier in the week, where he picked up the award for Best Dance Recording for ‘Where Are U Now’ with Skrillex and Diplo.

It’s believed that he approves of Chelsey and his dad being together, as does the rest of the family. Justin is the only child of Jeremy’s relationship with Pattie Mallette. He also has two half-siblings, Jaxon and Jazmyn, through his father.

Bieber begins his Purpose world tour on March 9th in Seattle, supporting his fourth studio album which has had many previously negative critics singing his praises. This week, he added to the accolades by winning Best International Male artist at the Brit Awards in London.
