The pop star has been mobbed by devotees during recent board outings, including one in New York prior to a TV appearance, but he's not about to give up his hobby because he draws too much attention to himself.

He tells Australian radio DJ Kent 'Smallzy' Small on Nova FM, "I'm fighting for just being able to go and do normal stuff and sometimes it's stressful because you know the people chasing me or what not and taking my picture.

"I just want people to understand that like, maybe if I do it enough they'll start respecting me and just watch and enjoy the company rather than making it weird. There's that happy medium of being able to respect me. If this is a moment we're going to have, let's take it."
