Justin Bieber has beaten Kim Kardashian's attempt to 'break the internet'.

The 'As Long As You Love Me' hitmaker - who stars in underwear brand Calvin Klein's recent #mycalvins campaign alongside model Lara Stone - generated 1.6 million mentions on social media in just 48 hours after sharing the ads online, five times the amount of Kim's #breaktheinternet campaign for which she controversially posed nude on the cover of Paper magazine.

The 20-year-old singer has also amassed the underwear label another 3.6 million followers since he unveiled the Spring 2015 campaign on his Instagram account earlier this month.

Justin recently laughed off critics who claimed the images from the campaign had been digitally enhanced to improve his muscles and package.

The 'Boyfriend' singer took to Instagram once again to post a photo of himself wearing only a towel to cover his modesty.

He wrote: ''Photoshop lol.''

Justin has also shared the secret to achieving his super svelte physique for the steamy shoot.

He said: ''I work out with my trainer, Patrick Nilsson, five days a week for about 45 minutes each. We do three days splits: back and triceps one day, chest and biceps on day two, shoulder and legs on day three, and abs every other day.

''I'm not on a special diet, but I do try to watch what I eat. I do eat unhealthy sometimes - I am a 20-year-old guy!''
