Could we be witnessing the steady downward spiral of Justin Bieber into the seedy underbelly of society that has seen so many child stars before him fall into? Hopefully not, but with his behaviour becoming increasingly brattish and out of line, you can be forgiven for thinking that Biebs might be needing some help as he struggles with the pressures of fame. His latest accused crime: battery against his neighbour, believed to be stemming from an incident where he spat at the accuser.

Justin Bieber                                          Justin Bieber has had another unwanted run in with the law, this time not involving his driving, though.

Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, has released a statement on behalf of the LAPD explaining their current row with Biebs made yesterday (March 27). In it, he says 'There has been allegations made against Mr Bieber involving a simple battery,' adding, 'Yesterday (March 26) at 9.08am we received a call about an incident in the Justin Bieber neighbourhood.'

The 19-year-old star has yet to make any official comment on the accusations, but is apparently wanted by police for questioning with the incident so we may get some details sooner rather than later. In lieu of all his recent antics, the teen heartthrob gave an interview to US Weekly yesterday to address his recent behaviour, during which he argued that there is a common misconception about him, that he is a bad person, which he claims is a complete lie and mechanism for the media used to shift papers. He went on to say, 'I get upset about that. I have a big heart. I want to be a good role model, but some people want me to fail.'

Justin Bieber                                          Justin Bieber is no angel any more

Although he didn't explain any of his more rash actions from over the past few weeks, namely this particular incident and his run in with a mouthy paparazzo in London that resulted in one of the finest online sensations since Beyonce's infamous Super Bowl pictures, he did explain his unusual wardrobe choices - namely his gas mask and his insistence on being topless whenever he can. The latter, he claimed, was down to him changing from his stage outfit in the car to his hotel, whilst the gas mask incident was nothing more than a bit of fun with his friends. "They [his friends] got it as a joke. My friends and I like messing around," he told the magazine.

Justin has just returned home from his extensive tour of Europe and will no doubt be looking forward to some time off from his hectic routine, so maybe we should cut the kid a bit of slack. If you were a 19-year-old millionaire with millions of adoring ans how would you react? As he told US Weekly, 'I'm young and I want to have fun. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.'
