Oprah Winfrey decided to interview Justin Bieber in a rather unorthodox way: taking the young pop star out for dinner at her “favourite restaurant”, The Chicago Sun Times reports.

The interview, which will air 8 p.m. Nov. 25 on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” on her OWN network, saw the pair merrily munching on French fries and gabbing away, while “more than 100 very polite, adoring fans” gathered outside, according to the general manager of the popular eatery, Rich Varnes. The famous pair weren’t served by him, though; instead they were waited on by veteran RL waiter Scott McLellan, who got a nice shout-out on camera from Winfrey, who called him “my favorite waiter at my favorite restaurant!”. Then, to the delight of the 100 or so fans that showed up, Bieber gave an impromptu performance, to which, “Not surprisingly,” said Varnes. “Every single one of the fans sang right along with him - knowing every single word.”

Oprah's ‘Next Chapter’ has featured interviews with the Kardashians, Steven Tyler, Whitney Houston's family and 50 Cent, among others. The Bieber episode - which premieres Sunday, November 25, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network - will be broadcast in more than 100 countries. This isn't Bieber's first encounter with Oprah: The teen heartthrob stopped by ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ in 2010 as he was beginning to find fame.
