Comeback Pop King Justin Bieber could pull off another musical miracle by stealing the winner of The X Factor’s Christmas number one crown. The hitmaker is currently riding high in the charts with numerous singles from his latest album Purpose in the Top 40 and he has 7/1 odds to take the festive top spot.

While The X Factor’s eventual winner is still the bookie’s favourite to scoop first place with 5/6 odds, falling ratings and tough competition means it’s not a sure thing.

Battling it out against the King of the Beliebers is X Factor finalists Reggie n’ Bollie, Louisa Johnson and Che Chesterman.

The NHS Choir also sits at 7/1 for the number one and Eagles of Death Metal - who were playing at the Bataclan Theatre during the Paris attacks - are at 10/1 to top the charts.

A spokesman for William Hill said: "On paper The X Factor remains the favourite but momentum can quickly shift and we think it is one of the most open festive charts in recent history."

Past X Factor winners have been successful in securing their first number one hit after Christmas with seven previous winners reaching the festive number one since the show began 11 years ago.
