J.T announces the titles of the 11 songs that will be on the '20/20 Experience Pt.2,' released on 29th September...but is there something a little spooky about the track names?
Justin Timberlake has announced the follow-up to March's mega-selling 'Pt. 1' of his 20/20 Experience album project. The 20/20 Experience Pt. 2 can be expected to hit on 29th September this year and - not only this - Justin has recently announced the track listing for his upcoming record and fourth studio album as a solo artist.
You'll recognise a track or two already from 20/20 Pt. 2 such as lead single 'Take Back The Night' with its dancey New York at nighttime music video. Despite controversy from a rape charity with the same name, who complained that their cause would be compromised if listeners started to associate the phrase with lyrics such as "use me," the song saw middling success with its highest position in the charts at No.8 on the USA's Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart.
Justin Didn't Change The Song Title, Despite A Lawsuit Threat.
In typical Instagram style, Justin posted an arty shot of snatches of different words written in black liner on paper. After fans were sufficiently teased, he posted a full shot of a black notebook upon a whitewashed table bearing the words "The 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2 Track Listing" along with the track titles.
44,000 fans 'liked' the photo on the photo sharing site and many wondered whether tracks like 'True Blood' would have a connection with the HBO vampires/werewolves TV drama of the same name. Combined with 'Drink You Away,' 'Murder' and 'Not A Bad Thing,' J.T's 'Take Back The Night' lead track takes on a darker tone: has the former boyband member become a creature of the night?
He Wants To Suck Your Blood!
It's not known yet whether the album will follow some kind of story and fans are certainly left guessing for now what titles like 'T.K.O' might stand for. March's Pt. 1 was a success for the former N*Sync pop star, selling 968,000 copies in its strongest week - the highest sales of the year so far. Based on intrigue factor, as well as Timbs' massive performances with Jay Z recently, it'd be a sure bet to say Pt. 2 will give its predecessor a run for its money.
