Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have split up after four years together following a ''very awkward'' birthday party thrown for the 30-year-old singer.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have ended their four-year relationship.
The couple - who met on a night out in 2007 - have "mutually" agreed to part ways and have vowed to remain friends, their spokesperson has confirmed.
The representative said: "Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways.
"The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other."
However, it is thought the break-up may have come after a "really awkward" surprise 30th birthday party for the singer-turned-actor at the end of January triggered problems between them.
According to a source, Jessica toasted her boyfriend at the party, talking about how they first started dating and how she felt like a "stalker" outside his house.
However, an unimpressed Justin simply replied by standing up and yelling, "Yeah b***hes!"
The insider told the Mail Online website: "It was really awkward. Justin's reaction was almost disrespectful. He just laughed it off."
Justin and Jessica's relationship has long been dogged by split rumours, and in April last year it was claimed they had parted ways because there was "no more romance".
A source said: "Justin truly thought he'd found the one in Jessica and she felt the same. But the relationship just didn't seem to go anywhere.
"They've both been working incredibly hard and will remain friendly - but there's no more romance."
