Former flames Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears both shared in the success at the 2014 People's Choice Awards as they took home big prizes.
Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears' successful end to 2013 isn't slowing down in the New Year.
The former lovers were both victorious the 2014 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday (Jan 8th).
After ending the year with 'The 20/20 Experience' being 2013's top-selling album, Timberlake's triumphant return to the music industry continued as he won 'Favourite Album'.
The 'Cry Me A River' singer was also awarded the top prize of the night, 'Favourite Male Artist.'
Justin was full of gratitude in his acceptance speech and although his "beautiful wife", Jessica Biel, wasn't in attendance, he thanked her anyway.
"Thank you! I would like to thank Ellen for all the personal inspiration and the cookies -- bakes a hell of a cookie," the entertainer said of Ellen DeGeneres, who was sat next to him.
Timberlake also praised his parents "for continuing to instill in me that no dream is too big."
"I'd like to thank all the fans who voted. I'll take it -- people's champ, I love it," he continued. "And I'd like to thank my beautiful wife for teaching me patience and the little things like just putting the dishes in the dish washer. It goes a long way -- fellas, you're welcome!"
It was now Britney's turn to claim her prize, the 32 year-old won her first ever People's Choice Award which was for Favourite Pop Artist.
Her Las Vegas residency show took a short break for the evening and it was the right decision as a visibly shocked Britney said, "Wow! This is awesome, I was not expecting this."
"It's because of all of you that I'm able to do what I love to do," Brit continued as she thanked her family and her "beautiful boys" at home and "all of you."
It was also the first time the 'Toxic' singer and new boyfriend David Lucado were attending their first award show together, was she was talking to him in her acceptance speech as well?
