Justin Timberlake's fan in the tri-state area will have to wait longer than expected to see him play at the most famous arena in the world.

Just hours before the 32 year-old was set to hit the stage at Madison Square Garden, he took to twitter to announce the show has been canceled.

"Hey NY," he tweeted. "There is never an easy way to do this... Unfortunately, I have to postpone tonight's show to Friday due to health reasons."

"I am truly sorry to everyone that have tickets for tonight," he said in a second tweet. "It kills me to have to do this. I hope to see you all on Friday," he added, confirming the show's rearranged date.

Timberlake, if he is feeling better, is also scheduled to perform at MSG on Thursday (Feb 20th), which is also a sold out event.

The 'Suit & Tie' singer is currently on the road for his '20/20 Experience World Tour', and has been since kicking things off in Montreal, Quebec, on October 31st. This lengthy trip will take JT through North America, Europe, Australia and South America.

An announcement of the cancelation was also confirmed on Timberlake's official website which stated, "Tickets for the previously scheduled show will be honored at the door on Friday."

Adding, "Refunds if necessary available at point of purchase, tomorrow's performance at Madison Square Garden will continue as scheduled."

There hasn't been any clarity on what "health reasons" the 'Cry Me A River' singer is dealing with, but to cancel a show at a legendary arena like Madison Square Garden, must mean it was absolutely necessary.
