Kanye West and U.S. Tv host Jimmy Kimmel settled their differences live on air on Wednesday (09Oct13) after the rapper reacted furiously to a skit mocking him on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!
West responded to the sketch with a furious phone call and a series of angry tweets after the show featured two children mocking claims made by West in a Bbc interview with Zane Lowe earlier this month (Oct13).
The rapper was a guest on the show on Wednesday, and Kimmell admitted he "felt really bad" about the joke, prompting West to reveal he vented all his anger on Kimmel as he knew him personally.
Kimmel told the rapper, "I don't know if you know this but a lot of people think you're a jerk... When you said you were a genius... I think that upsets people. But the truth is a lot of people think they're geniuses, but nobody says it because it's weird to say it."
West responded, "I'm totally weird and totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometimes, and the thing is for me not to say I'm not a genius I'd be lying to you and to myself."
The hip-hop star also ranted about considering himself a messenger rather than a rapper and railed against the news his wife Kim Kardashian wouldn't get a Hollywood Star as she found fame on a reality Tv show.
But the rapper and presenter later shared a laugh over a skit of West's tweets set to music and light-heartedly discussed the angry messages he sent Kimmel, with West joking, "You should have seen the second set of tweets."
