Kanye West has taken a turn for the worst after a bizarre last few days on his Saint Pablo Tour. He's been admitted to hospital with 'exhaustion' according to recent reports, after twice interrupting his own concerts with controversial pro-Trump political rants and then cancelling the remaining dates.

The rapper is currently staying at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles following Monday's (November 21st 2016) cancellation of his Saint Pablo Tour dates. According to multiple reports, West is being treated for 'exhaustion' after being taken to hospital following the Los Angeles Police Department responding to an emergency call about his medical welfare at 1:20 pm Monday morning.

'He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation', a source told People magazine. 'He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician. He's fine.' The source went on to dismiss rumours that he was 'handcuffed to a gurney' as reported in TMZ, claiming that the musician 'was not restrained [and] he went freely'.

Kim Kardashian West subsequently cancelled her scheduled appearance at the Angel Ball charity event in New York City where her late father Robert Kardashian was honored in a bid to fly home and be by her husband's side as he recovered. While she hasn't made any public comment regarding her spouse's condition as of yet, her mother did tell Extra what was up. 'He's exhausted. He's just really tired', said Kris Jenner. 'He's had a grueling tour and it's been a grind, so he just needs to rest.'

More: Kanye West endorses Donald Trump

West's apparent breakdown started on Thursday (November 17th 2016), when he infuriated his audience in San Jose by declaring that he would've voted for president-elect Donald Trump if he had voted in the presidential election and that black people should 'stop focusing on racism'. On Saturday, he abandoned his show in Sacramento after playing two songs and going on yet another lengthy, politically-charged rant that also saw him criticise Beyonce and Jay Z.

He went on to cancel Sunday's show, and by Monday the remainder of his tour had been axed. According to People, Kanye's mental health issues are nothing serious, he's just feeling the pressure. 'He's been working around the clock on fashion design, both on his own line and the Adidas line', a source told the publication. 'He's a notorious workaholic, so balancing both that work - which is extremely important to him - and the rigors of the tour every night, it really wore him out.'
