The rapper will be using his account to showcase his ‘art’.
Kanye West has finally joined Instagram with an already verified account. Despite only being on the photo-sharing app for a couple of hours West has already amassed over 435,000 followers, which is pretty impressive but no where near wife Kim’s 82.8 million.
Kanye’s first post was an image of a car, with no caption, he’s also yet to follow any other users. West is well known for his tweets and had until now shied away from bringing his unique genius to Instagram.

But in March the rapper did say he was toying with the idea. "I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition... No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram... It's my art,” he tweeted.
“My tweets are a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and not to tweet... Non artist trying to grab the paint brush”. But it might be hard for West to become as prolific on Instagram as he is on Twitter, because he’s apparently gotten rid of his phone.

Just four days ago Kanye tweeted: “I got rid of my phone so I can have air to create.” When some fans then asked him how he was able to tweet, another user responded with an image proving that West had used Twitter Web Client and not his phone to post.
