Kanye was on the Scottish island to film his new music video for 'Waves', and stayed for one night at the Skeabost House Hotel.
Kanye West has been praised as a “perfect guest” by the owners of a country hotel on the Isle of Skye in which he stayed last weekend while shooting his new music video.
It was recently reported that the megastar rapper, 38, was on the Scottish island to film the video for ‘Waves’, due to be dropped soon. The Daily Record reported on Wednesday (April 13th) that Kanye and his entourage had booked seven rooms at the Skeabost House Hotel on Sunday.

He had recently jetted in from his first live gig of 2016, which he performed in the Philippines at the Paradise International Music Festival the night before (Saturday April 9th). Despite his jet lag, the hotel’s owners Anne Gracie and Ken Gunn said he was consistently courteous to all the staff – with no diva-esque behaviour that some media outlets would like to ascribe to him.
“Kanye was the perfect guest - charming, courteous and polite,” Gracie told the Scottish newspaper. “We were delighted to offer him and his companions our usual Highland hospitality and would welcome him back any time.”

Another spokeperson for the hotel, at which a room with breakfast costs £150, revealed some more details about his one-night stay. The identity of the “high-profile” celebrity was unknown to staff until he arrived – but they must have been surprised when the Billboard album chart-topper walked in.
“It was all very exciting. The staff at the hotel were told a high-profile celebrity was coming to stay but no-one knew exactly who until Kanye arrived and it was a total surprise. Kanye checked into his room which overlooked the sea and had some supper before having a snooze in his four-poster bed.”
“In the morning Kanye got up, had breakfast and went off to do his filming before coming back at lunch time very tired before having a snooze and some tea.”
“The staff at the hotel say he chatted to everyone. Photographs were banned. But they said he was just like one of the guys really. They did ask if Kim Kardashian West was part of his entourage, but they were told she was elsewhere.”
