Kate Beckinsale and Paula Patton will announce next year's Golden Globe nominations.

The 'Van Helsing' star and the 39-year-old actress will be joined by two-time Golden Globe nominee Peter Krause and 'Mr Selfridge' actor Jeremy Piven - who has been nominated five times in the past - to reveal the names in contention to take home the prestigious accolades.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Theo Kingma and the latest Miss Golden Globe, Greer Grammer, will join the group in announcing the nominations live on NBC's 'Today' show on Thursday (11.12.14) morning at 5:38am PT.

Nominees in 25 different categories for the 72nd annual award ceremony will be revealed over the course of the show, aiming to honour the best that TV and film has to offer.

Last year's star-studded evening saw Matthew McConaughey take home the Best Actor gong for his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club', while Cate Blanchett bagged the Best Actress prize for 'Blue Jasmine'.

Jennifer Lawrence picked up the Best Supporting Actress award for 'American Hustle' and Jared Leto took home the 'Best Supporting Actor' title for his part in 'Dallas Buyers Club'.

Steve McQueen's '12 Years a Slave' won Best Motion Picture.

The 72nd Annual Golden Globes will take place on January 11, 2015.

The ceremony will welcome back hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who are set to present the show together for a third year running.
