Veteran singer Kate Bush is hoping to make a return to the stage before she gets "too ancient" to perform live shows.
The Wuthering Heights hitmaker has not toured since 1979 and has largely retired from the public eye in recent years to concentrate on raising her son, Bertie, 12.
Bush admits she gave up performing because life on the road left her exhausted, but she has now given fans hope of a live return, telling Mojo magazine, "It (touring) was enormously enjoyable. But physically it was absolutely exhausting.
"I still don't give up hope completely that I'll be able to do some live work, but it's certainly not in the picture at the moment because I just don't quite know how that would work with how my life is now.
"Maybe I will do some shows some day. I'd like to think so before I get too ancient - turn up with me (sic) Zimmer frame."
