Happy Birthday Kate Middleton! The Duchess of Cambridge turns 32 today and can finally look back on a tremendous year alongside her husband, Prince William. Most memorably, Kate and William welcomed their first child, Prince George of Cambridge, into the world on the 22nd July.

The Crowning Moment Of Kate's Year Was The Birth Of Prince George.

This time last year, Kate was pregnant and faced with th uncertainty that imminent motherhood brings. A media frenzy accompanied Kate's pregnancy and baby George's birth but she managed to main regal throughout and didn't succumb to the overwhelming pressure and attention.

Prince William & Duchess Catherine Shared The Most Wonderful Year.

On the 23rd October, Prince George was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury at St. James' Palace with an army of godparents appointed to protect the young royal. The beautiful Kate faces a permanent position within the gaze of the world due to her stylish fashion choices and non-aristocratic background. The Duchess always looks picture-perfect and famously carries off high street style with panache.

Unfortunately William couldn't spend the day with his wife on her birthday due to currently undertaking a 10-week course in agricultural management at the University of Cambridge in order to gain "an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom."

Kate & William Always Look Fantastic As They Carry Out Their Day-To-Day Duties.

The 31-year-old Prince travelled by train on Tuesday to the university campus to begin his 10-week program. "He didn't travel first class, and blended in pretty well as a commuter," said a source speaking to E! News. "He kept himself to himself and was just reading."

On her special day, Kate will apparently spend time with her mother, Carol Middleton. "Carole came into London from Bucklebury for a shopping spree on the Kings Road.She spent about an hour and a half in Peter Jones where she was browsing and purchasing items from the Lancôme counter," said E! News' source.

However, William will be expected home in the evening and the pair are expected to celebrate together side by side with a few close friends and family at a quiet Kensington Palace gathering.
