Kate Moss is known for her looks and not her words, but it was her voice she was using to promote Comic Relief recently, as she joined BBC Radio One breakfast show host DJ Nick Grimshaw to potentially read an extract from the multi-million selling soft-erotic novel 50 Shades Of Grey.

The price that supermodel Moss had put on herself to read the segment? A cool £200,000. But this was all going to charity, with the BBC doing all they can break the record once again for their bi-yearly Comic Relief charity drive, and with that in mind, Grimmy’s listeners eagerly chipped in to ensure that the lofty target was comfortably reached.

So this meant that Moss had to read a saucy scene from E. L James infamous book. Surprisingly shy for a woman whose now spent over 20 years in the media spotlight, Moss admitted that she ‘didn’t speak for a reason’ as she giggled on the sofa with Grimshaw. But she managed to get her composure together and read a not-too-saucy part from the book, to send those in attendance (most notably the males ones) wild. This is one of many events that’s all part of the countdown to the big telethon itself, Red Nose Day, which will be aired on BBC One tomorrow night (March 15, 2013). Among the many taking part will be Ricky Gervais, who is resurrecting The Office’s David Brent character for a one-off special.
