More details have been emerging about the big celeb news story early this week – Kate Moss getting thrown off an Easyjet flight. The supermodel was escorted off the flight at London’s Luton Airport after apparently calling the pilot a “basic bitch”, swigging vodka from her hand luggage and getting into an argument with another passenger.

Other onlookers are said to have overheard Moss in the baggage claiming area later, complaining loudly. Easyjet have not released any specific details other than to confirm that the flight, from Bodrum in Turkey, had been met by police upon landing “due to the behaviour of a passenger on board”.

Moss had been in Turkey to celebrate the upcoming 50th birthday of her friend and fellow model Sadie Frost. No arrests were made at the airport, and a spokesman for Bedfordshire police said “We were called to assist staff in escorting a passenger from a flight arriving into Luton airport. The passenger had been reported as being disruptive on the flight. Officers attended and escorted the passenger from the plane.”

One of the passengers on the afternoon flight gave their take on the story to MailOnline. “She called the pilot a ‘basic bitch’ as police led her off the plane, she was a little drunk and had a disagreement with another passenger on the flight as she was refused alcohol and then went to serve her own vodka from her cabin luggage.”

But the incident apparently sounds worse in the media than it actually did at the time, according to the passenger. “She was not aggressive to anyone and [it] was funny really, the Easyjet crew was acting out of proportion.”

Another passenger, sat just two rows behind Moss, told Sky News essentially the same thing. “There certainly wasn’t anything evident that was either putting the plane in jeopardy or creating a problem. You would not have known she was there.”

“There was no shouting, no bawdiness that even caused her friends to intervene. Because, you know, if you were with somebody who was being disruptive and it was one of your party, you’d say oh shut up, be quiet and let us get on with it. There was none of that, no one seemed to be concerned at all.”
