Kate Moss is amazed she continues to have such mass appeal as a model and has decided not to question the public's fascination with her.
Kate Moss doesn't understand how she still sells magazines.
The 40-year-old supermodel - who found fame when she was discovered in 1988 at the age of 14 by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Model Management - is amazed she continues to appeal to the public, but prefers not to question the longevity of her career.
Discussing her mass appeal, she laughed: ''I know it's weird though, innit? 'Cause I don't understand, I mean... let's not question it!''
Kate famously fronted an edition of now defunct British magazine The Face in 1990 at the tender age of 15, and although she is smiling on the cover, she was self-conscious during the shoot.
She explained: ''It was funny, but at the same time I was really embarrassed about my body. Very, very self-conscious. I was 14 or 15, still at school.''
Despite Kate being synonymous with the 'heroin chic' look of the 90s, she is adamant she never promoted being too thin.
During an interview with Nick Knight in the first of a series of SHOWstudio films, she added: ''I think I was just really young and thin, I mean my daughter's tiny... I was working in fashion, back in the day they didn't feed you. The jobs I was doing they didn't have catering.''
