A High School student who posted a seemingly half-joking video on YouTube asking if model Kate Upton would accompany him to his end of term prom has been left stunned after the 20 year-old appeared via phone on national television and agreed to the date!

Jake Davidson surely couldn’t have imagined in his wildest dreams that his plea to Upton to would have gone as well as it has done – but the 17 year-old is now on course to be going to the ball with the glamour star. Davidson appeared on The Today Show after his video went viral on the internet. The clip showed him asking “Hey Kate, can I call you Katie?” before listing a load of reasons as to why she should go to the prom with him. Little did he expect that Today had organized it so that Upton would appear on the phone live on TV to respond to his request. "I absolutely love the video it was so hilarious and so creative” the model told a stunned Davidson. “Thank you so much for doing that I really appreciate it."

Kate Upton

Kate Upton could make a 17 year-old student's dreams come true

This caused much stuttering from the student, who must have been in dreamland, before he got himself together and blurted out "Kate, I'm telling you it would be a great night, great evening, I could even get the curfew extended hopefully if I speak to my parents." In reply she said "I definitely have to just check my schedule but you seem like so much fun and if everything works out I'd love to go with you, I know we'd have a blast." Way to go Jack!
