Check out the viral ad below
In this world of viral marketing – see our top marketing spoofs and virals to rival the latest Carrie prank – there are a few cheats. One of them is to get the world’s biggest rapper, couple him with the world’s biggest model, and just let the rest speak for itself.
Oh Hey, It's Kate Upton!
Seriously, we reckon Snoop Lion, Kate Upton and a huge bag of weed – the one he won – were just let loose in a big studio with no supervision. And the result was, well, you can see what happened below. “Now let me give you an introduction/ to the master baker of this production,” Snoop raps, saying that he can “bake anywhere."
The viral ad takes on Biz Markie’s 80s classic (although the 90s hip-hop scene gave it its prominence) and turns it into a promotional song for Hot Pockets. “You, have got what I eat, I love your buttery crust,” goes the marketing remix.
Before this Kate Upton gets in from a night out with one of her girlfriends; they’re talking boys – you know, as all girls do – and what’s more: they’re starving. What follows is a strange amalgamation of Lion’s penchant for smoking the Mary Jane, and the word ‘baked’. It’s a cheap joke, but it works. It works.
Look At That Cigarette! Snoop Lion, Enjoying Himself
"I love working with the Hot Pockets sandwiches team," Snoop says in a statement. "They let me do what I do and bring the funk out with their message, you know? We needed to top [previous video] 'Pocket Like It's Hot,' and this video is so dope. It's funnier, and we got the flyest girl in it with me."
