Kate Winslet says her long-time friend Leonardo Dicaprio knows her "better than anyone".
Kate Winslet, the Oscar winning British actress, has paid tribute to Leonardo Dicaprio for helping her through her split from husband Sam Mendes.Winslet and DiCaprio have been close friends since they starred together in the 1997 blockbuster 'Titanic', and the actress admits to turning to the Hollywood actor after splitting from her husband last year. Speaking to Britain's Vogue Magazine, Winslet said, "He knows me better than anyone else in the world. Lots of male friendships begin as a cheeky snog. Or a little undercurrent of flirtation. But Leo and I? No. He's my rock. I don't know what the f**k I would have done if I hadn't had him". The actress married 'American Beauty' director Mendes back in 2003, and their son 'Joe' was born several months later. The couple announced their separation in March last year and in a joint statement noted, "The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement".
Kate Winslet is currently filming the Roman Polanski comedy movie 'Carnage' about two sets of parents who decide to have a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl. The film also stars Christoph Waltz and Jodie Foster and will hit cinemas in 2012.
