The film will be directed by Danny Boyle from a script penned by The Social Network screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, who based it on Walter Isaacson's biography of Jobs. Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady will be producing.

As for the casting, Michael Fassbender is said to be playing the role of Jobs, while Seth Rogen is thought to have signed on as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
Jeff Daniels has recently been rumoured to be in the running to play former Apple president John Scully, while Natalie Portman has also had her name attached to the project.
The film has had a particularly difficult time getting off the ground so far, beginning when David Fincher left the director’s chair in April, allegedly due to heavy demands for compensation and control. It then suffered a further setback when Christian Bale decided to pull out of the lead role saying he wasn't right for the part.
