'Contagion' writer Scott Z. Burns had trouble writing a set role for Kate Winslet in the movie because she is ''so talented''.
Kate Winslet is "so talented" it is hard to write a role for her.
Scott Z. Burns - who wrote The Script for Steven Soderbergh's 'Contagion' starring Kate alongside Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow - admits he was so involved with the production of the film he was allowed to add scenes to the pandemic thriller to accommodate the Oscar-winning beauty's talent.
He said: "Kate Winslet's character - I mean, Kate Winslet is so talented that it's hard as a writer. Steven allows me to be on the set the entire time and I'm very involved with the whole process throughout, so I could sit there and go, 'Wow, you know what? It'd be great to do another scene with Kate. We have her for another day. Let's come up with something else.' "
However, Scott admits the film - which tells the tale of a pandemic killing millions of people across the world with no known cure - was hard to shoot because of the conflicting schedules of all of the film's main stars.
He added to ComingSoon.net: "We shot every storyline through and then put them together. Because of people's schedules, that's the only way you can really shoot a movie like this is we started in Hong Kong and did Marion Cottilard's part for two weeks. Then we went to Chicago and we started shooting Laurence Fishburne's part and then Kate Winslet's part and then Matt came in."
'Contagion' is set to come to cinemas next month.
