Katherine Jackson says hearing lies about her son is the most difficult thing she's ever had to deal with.

The 83-year-old mother of the late singer Michael Jackson -who died from an overdose of Propofol in 2009 - has brought a wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoters AEG Live claiming they did not properly investigate Dr Conrad Murray, who has been found guilty of Michael's manslaughter, and Katherine admitted listening to testimony in court has been difficult.

She said: ''The most difficult thing is to sit here in this court and listen to all the bad things they've said about my son. None of the things are the truth.

[It's difficult because Michael] is not here to speak for himself. I want to know what really happened to my son.''

Before her appearance in court on Friday (19.07.13), Katherine had her hearing aids checked in preparation for her testimony, and hourly breaks were suggested to make the process easier for her.

Meanwhile, Dr Murray's lawyer, Valerie Wass, says her client is considering testifying in the case.

She told the New York Daily News: ''All along I've advised him to assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, but we've both been following the trial closely, and it's a situation we're constantly evaluating. I don't see how it could incriminate him to tell the truth.''

The trial started in April and is expected to continue until September.
