After much speculation, the 54-year-old was finally announced as the newest host of 'Fashion Police'.
Since Joan Rivers tragically died this past September, there has been much speculation as to who may be replacing the late comedienne as the host of E!'s 'Fashion Police,' and after much speculation, Kathy Griffin has accepted the vacant position.
Griffin is the new host of E!'s 'Fashion Police'
The 54-year-old comedienne will be joining a panel that includes Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and another new addition, celebrity and TV personality Brad Goreski.
"I get it! These are some big shoes I'm going to fill," Griffin said in a statement. "Joan was truly one of a kind. Now I hope you will accept me for me. I'm just Kathy. Did I say I'm just Kathy? I meant I'm Kathy F***ing Griffin and you celebrities better strap yourself in, as I am taking no prisoners. I am not holding back so DAMMIT let's have some fun!"
E! previously announced 'Fashion Police' will continue to air to honour Rivers, only two weeks after her death, starting with the 2015 awards season with 17 new episodes. The first will air on Monday, January 12, while covering the Golden Globes.

"Not only was Joan a trailblazer, she was also a dear friend and mentor to Kathy, who will no doubt continue her legacy and do the series justice by bringing her own unique comedic style and tell-it-like-it-is personality to the host chair," said Jeff Olde, E! Executive VP. "Plus, the addition of trendsetting stylist Brad completes the panel as the show begins its next chapter, which will focus on covering the major award shows and fashion events throughout the year."
Rivers unexpectedly died aged 81 this past September
Joan's daughter, Melissa Rivers, is also returning to the show as an executive producer. "Kathy just feels right, and Brad brings a fun, new voice to join Giuliana and Kelly in this ensemble," Rivers said in a statement.
