"Katie has such a clear vision for the book's irreverent, original mother-daughter relationship. Her passion for the material, along with Josh Boone's ability to tell stories grounded in the comedy and drama of every day, will truly bring these characters to life," said Rosenthal in a statement.

All We Had appears to be in good hands. Scriptwriter Boone had a massive hit with the teen cancer drama Fault in Our Stars this summer. He also wrote and directed 'Stuck in Love' and is attached to direct 'The Stand' - a remake of Stephen King's TV mini-series about a deadly plague that kills most of the world's population, leaving the survivors to split into two groups.

All We Had is expected for release sometime in 2016.
