Katie Price wants to be a nurse.

The 37-year-old former glamour model - who has kids Harvey, 13, Junior, 10, and Princess, eight, from past relationships and Jett, two, and Bunny, 13 months, with husband Kieran Hayler - has always wanted a career caring for others but doesn't think she'd be taken seriously.

She said: ''I've been doing this job since I was 17. I left school and was training to be a nurse. I would still love to be a nurse now but I don't think people would believe me if I was in a nurse's uniform.''

Katie's eldest son has a number of health problems, including autism, genetic condition Prader-Willi syndrome and limited sight, and although she admits caring for him can be ''hard'', she wouldn't change anything.

Speaking on AOL's UK Originals series 'Being Mum', she said: ''I'm used to it; I don't know any different.

''When he was born, he was just like normal - nothing wrong with him, everything was fine. But when we did our six week check, the doctor said: 'I'm afraid it's not good news, your son's blind.' And we just sat there and said, 'Well what happens now? What do we do now?' And they're like, 'Well there's nothing [you can do], he's blind.'

''Thinking about it, what can you do? You've just got to get on with it. He's my son; I would not change absolute anything about him, not one thing.

''I'm not going to lie - it's very hard work bringing up a child with disabilities ... He's on medication six times a day and if he doesn't take it, he'll die. And he has an injection at night.

''I can see how some people would probably find it hard because it's very challenging and stuff but I am a very patient and laid-back person and I think that makes a difference. I just love him and I wouldn't change anything about him.''
