Comedian Katt Williams has been granted custody of his adopted daughter after a former nanny alleged she was the child's real mother.
Crystal MCGhee filed for sole custody of Williams' eight-year-old girl last month (Nov11) and a judge approved the order by default when the funnyman failed to show up in court to contest the claim.
However, Williams filed legal documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court earlier this month (Dec11), accusing MCGhee, who worked briefly for the comedian years ago, of having no real relation to the girl and "no parental rights".
The judge subsequently overturned the original order and Williams, 40, was awarded custody of his daughter once again, reports Tmz.com.
Court papers filed by the Norbit star suggest MCGhee lied to gain custody to take advantage of government benefits.
