Katy Perry could make an absolute fortune from her Glu Mobile deal.
Katy Perry, who performed the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday (February 1), has signed a potentially lucrative deal with US firm Glu Mobile for a game that will feature her "voice, likeness and personality". The game will launch at the end of 2015 on iOS and Android devices.

It is likely that Perry's people were buoyed by the huge success of Kim Kardashian's recent mobile game at Glu, which made its money from in-app purchases.

"Ultimately the Katy Perry title and its specificities will be under wraps until it comes out. But I think it's fair to say that it's not going to be a shooter," Glu's chief executive Niccolo de Masi said after announcing the Katy Perry deal.
"Something closer to a narrative-based RPG makes a lot of sense than an action-RPG for example," he added.
Kim Kardashian is thought to have made over $30 million from her mobile game
Though the deal will most likely make Perry plenty of cash for little work - it's also a strong partnership for Glu. The firm will be hoping to tap into Perry's popularity on social media - 77.1 million Facebook fans and 64.6 million Twitter followers - which is something that helped the success of Kardashian's online game.
"We are going to do something that's appropriate to tell her story as well as to make sure that we are not taking risk in this particular case on something that won't monetise," added Masi.
