After insinuating the 25-year-old songstress isn't suited for her "sweetheart" persona, has Perry confirmed the pair are still at odds?
Katy Perry was once believed to be in a bitter feud with fellow pop star Taylor Swift, but after performing in the hugely successful Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday evening (Feb 1st), the 29-year-old songstress hinted that the pair are still at odds.
Perry recently spoke about pop stars playing characters in the media
Only days after playing in front of 70,000 people at University of Phoenix Stadium, and millions of viewers around the world, Perry opened up to Elle Magazine about the difficulty of achieving her goals and maintaining the success.
But she also decided to indirectly insult other music stars in the process. "It is a hundred times harder a dream than the dream that I dreamt when I was nine. You think you signed up for one thing, but you automatically sign up for a hundred others. And that is why you see people shaving their f**king heads," she told the mag, referring to Britney Spears' public meltdown in 2007.
Perry then brought up Swift during a discussion about pop stars playing characters for the media, and seemingly implied that the 25-year-old songstress' reputation as America's Sweetheart is ill-suited.

"You've got to name someone the villain, someone the princess. you know there always have to be characters. As pop figures, we're all characters. And the media uses that," she said. "Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor's the sweetheart. Kanye [West]'s the villain. That's the narrative."
The pair's feud allegedly began when Perry used several of Swift's backup dancers for her Prismatic Tour while she was in the middle of preparing for her Red Tour last year.

Swift also penned the song 'Bad Blood,' which features on her album '1989,' and revealed that an unknown "enemy" celebrity was the inspiration behind it. "It had to do with business," Swift said last September. "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
Although Swift never identified this individual, many still believe that she is referring to Perry.
