Keane have announced a UK tour which will begin in May 2012 and continue into June 2012. Their last UK tour happened three years ago and ended with two sold out shows at the O2 Arena in London. The tour will also be the first time fans will hear new material. Tickets will go on sale on Friday February 24th at 9am and will be available to buy from the band's website.

The band recorded their highly anticipated fourth studio album in the UK at frontman Tim Rice-Oxley's studio Sea Fog; they are calling it their most personal record yet. The current line-up is: Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, backing vocals); Tom Chaplin (lead vocals, guitar); Richard Hughes (drums, percussion) and Jesse Quin (bass guitar, percussion).

Keane's first album, Hopes and Fears, was released in 2004 and featured the hit singles, Somewhere Only We Know; Everybody's Changing and This Is The Last Time. The album won the Best Album award at the BRIT Awards and went 9x Platinum. Their second studio album, Under The Iron Sea, went straight to number one in the UK Album Charts, as well as going 2x Platinum. It also spawned the hits Is It Any Wonder and Nothing In My Way.

Their third studio album, Perfect Symmetry, was just as successful as the previous two, hitting the top spot in the Album Charts yet again and going Platinum. It also marked a change in sound for the band, who were previously known for their piano rock sound.
