Keith Urban has recorded his final message to fans before undergoing vocal cord surgery.
The Aussie country star, who is married to Nicole Kidman, will be on vocal rest immediately after the operation and so he decided to send fans a Thanksgiving message via video on his website while he still can.
Starting off with, "I just wanted to take a second before I go on complete vocal lockdown for three weeks," Urban thanked his fans for their understanding after he was forced to pull out of end-of-year shows due to his health issues.
The You'll Think of Me singer said, "I can't even express my gratitude for you guys for that. It's like family. It really is. It feels like that. I've been sent gifts and emails and cards and flowers and the coolest things. So I'm overwhelmed at your gratitude, and your prayers are really, really appreciated by me and all of my family.
"To all of you, thank you, thank you, I love you. And be well, be safe and have a great new year. And I look forward to seeing you in 2012. God bless."
During surgery, a polyp will be removed from Urban's vocal cords.
