Kelly Clarkson has issued an apology to her fans after announcing her highly-anticipated next album won't be out until September (11).
The Since U Been Gone hitmaker has been busy working on her fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2009's All I Ever Wanted, and finished the songs in December (10).
But Clarkson's fans will have to wait a little longer to hear her new material after label bosses at Rca Records told the singer September would be the best month to launch the record.
In a post on her Facebook.com page, she writes, "I recently found out that my album won't be coming out until September... the album has been recorded but I can't release it until then.
"I realise that is a long time but that's the best time to release it apparently so I'm sorry for the wait but I promise you it sounds great!"
