Kelly Clarkson has put her plans to have a second child on hold.

The 'Since You Been Gone' hitmaker and husband Brandon Blackstock had been planning to have another baby as soon as possible but the singer - who gave birth to daughter River Rose in June - is now eager to focus on recording her next album instead.

A source told America's Star magazine: ''She has been run ragged. Their daughter is a blessing, but she can't imagine getting pregnant again - especially anytime soon.

''Having another baby would mean delaying any plans to record an album for at least a year.

''She doesn't want her fans to forget about her.''

The 'Stronger' hitmaker married Brandon, who has two children from his first marriage, Seth, seven, and Savannah, 11, in a low-key ceremony in Tennessee last October.

The 32-year-old star previously admitted she never wanted to have children until she met her husband and was now looking forward to having a huge family.

She said: ''I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five.''
