As we previously reported ‘Sharknado’ is striking again, this time with the aptly named ‘Sharknado 2: The Second One’. Now the film has added some choice new names to its cast to help save New York alongside Tara Reid and Ian Ziering, including none other than Kelly Osbourne.

In what might be a bit of attention seeking casting, ‘Fashion Police’ host and celebutante Kelly Osbourne has signed on to play a flight attendant. Kelly tweeted her delight at the news on Wednesday, telling fans "I guess the news is out Im going to be in #Sharknado2 they asked me & I just could not resist! #SoExcited.’ Alongside Kelly ‘Independence Day’ actress Vivica A. Fox has signed up to play Skye, a ’High school friend’ of Ian Ziering’s character Fin. It’s not the first time the actress has played a friend of Ziering, she had a one episode stint on ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ back in 1991.

In a comical casting move ‘Taxi’ star Judd Hirsch, will play a taxi driver, of course, and comedian Andy Dick will be a police officer. Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath will continue to try and further his acting career with choice roles by playing Zeiring’s brother in law. The most surprising casting announcement, however is '30 Rock’ star Judah Friedlander who will play a character named Brian, that producers seem to want to keep under wraps.

‘Sharknado 2: The Second One’ will see Tara Reid and Ian Ziering team up once again when this time, “a freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites - and only Fin and April can save the Big Apple.” Alongside the two main stars the sequel will also see the return of director Anthony Ferrante and writer Thunder Levin once again providing the script.

Though ‘Sharknado’ may have combined some of the worst writing and acting of all time, this didn't stop it become the social media hit of the summer. The films surprise success led producers to announce a sequel almost straight away with the imaginative title ‘Sharknado 2: The Second One’ being chosen after fans tweeted their ideas for a name. While we can only hope the second one wont be any worse - the thought of Kelly Osbourne and Andy Dick has left us running for cover. Filming on ‘Sharknado 2: The Second One' is set to begin next week with the series penned in for a July airing on Syfy.
