Kelly Rutherford's has received a vote of support as she fights to regain custody of her two children. The kind messages came from onscreen husband Matthew Settle.
Last weeks saw her lose her bid to have her two children return from France, where they had been staying all summer, and the news was a devastating blow for the Gossip Girl star. The kids had been staying with their father, and Rutherford's ex-husband Daniel Giersch, a German Businessman. Their custody had been on a shared basis, with Rutherford able to visit five-year-old son Hermes and 3-year old Helena Grace, but she'll now have to travel to France to visit them. "Support Kelly... American kids sent to foreign country with dad that's banned from U.S... What???... How can judge order American children of Kelly Rutherford to live in France w (with) ex who's banned from US?" tweeted Settle, voicing his disdain at the ruling.
The actress has vowed to keep fighting in a bid to have the children returned to their native U.S. Rutherford adds to the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "I am so grateful for the support of my fellow cast members and the legal community for wanting children who've been growing up in New York to live in New York."
