Although Kendall Jenner has been a star on the reality TV show 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' for many years, the 19 year-old is trying to step away from being associated with her famous family to establish herself as a legitimated supermodel.

Jenner wants the attention to be on her and not her famous family

After a successful modelling career in 2014, which included gracing the runways at the New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, she is finally ready for the spotlight to just be on her and not the rest of the Kardashian clan.

While opening up to the 2015 March issue of Allure, Kendall recalled appearing in her first runway show for Marc Jacobs over a year ago. "I didn't need it to be a family affair," she said. "As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family. If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, 'Oh, Kim goes to Kendall's first fashion show!'"

Kim is obviously followed by the world's media wherever she goes, but on his occasion Kendall confessed she just wanted to prove how serious she is about becoming a successful model. "I love Kim," she said, "But for a minute I wanted it to be like, 'OK, this is [Kendall's] thing-she's taking it seriously.'"

However, the reality TV star's famous half-sister did offer her some good advice when she entered the modelling world. When revealing why, unlike many of her fellow models, she doesn't have any tattoos, Kendall said, "I have a really weird thing about 'forever.' And my sister Kim always said, 'Don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.'"
