Glastonbury 2022 headliner Kendrick Lamar has shared his video for 'N95', a song included on his recent 18 track album, 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers'. The multi-award winning rapper dropped his hotly anticipated fifth studio album on May 13th, a full five years after his last solo album - 'DAMN', and this is the first song from it to be accompanied by a video.
The video for 'N95' was co-directed by Kendrick Lamar and his pgLang partner Dave Free and includes footage of both Lamar and guest artist Baby Keem. 'N95' is the second video that Lamar has released this month, his first being for the song - 'The Heart Part 5'. Both videos were co-directed by Lamar and his partner Free.
In his latest video Kendrick can be seen levitating above sea water as he mimics Jesus in a crucifixion pose. Elsewhere Lamar can be seen playing piano before cutting to a scene where he is chased by a bunch of men as graphics scroll to read "This S**t Hard". More religious imagery crops up later in the film with Lamar walking on water before he is surrounded by wooden crucifixes in a bedroom.
The Pulitzer winning musician's second track on his latest full length release has already racked up 20 million streams on Spotify and looks set to be one of the biggest songs of the year to date. His fans have had nothing but praise for his new material with Xavier saying - "Probably the most creative artist of our generation. Definitely a game-changer album" and Sonia's Way adding - "He’s a true artist and this is artistic brilliance. He’s doing what nobody else is doing these days, not following the stereotypes. More power to him".
