Actress Keri Russell's big Tv comeback has hit a roadblock - the New York City studio where her upcoming show The Americans was due to begin filming was flooded by Hurricane Sandy.

The Felicity star recently signed on to play a Russian spy in the new action drama, which was set to start shooting on Tuesday (13Nov12), but filming has been postponed until 26 November (12) after set pieces were destroyed by up to six inches of water.

Local officials are also testing the area for contaminants as the studio, Eastern Effects, is located near the highly-polluted Gowanus Canal, which burst its banks, reports TheWrap.com.

The Americans will premiere early next year (13).
