Kevin James' older brother, comedian Gary Valentine, is suing a woman who allegedly accused him of sexual assault, insisting her "groundless" claims damaged his reputation.
Valentine, who played Cousin Danny in James' sitcom King of Queens, is demanding $500,000 (£333,000) from a former business associate after she told authorities he sexually assaulted her during a work meeting last year (10).
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the actor maintains his unnamed colleague brought out a bottle of wine and "initiated intimate contact" before performing "mutually consensual oral sex on him".
Valentine claims the woman later worried her boyfriend would discover their affair, so she went to cops to report sexual assault.
Her story was eventually "proved to be groundless", according to Valentine's filing.
The star insists the matter has damaged his reputation, caused him emotional distress and cost him dearly in legal fees, reports TMZ.com.
